Abstract

The publication of Analysis of Current Issues for the Special Region of Yogyakarta 2023 is a publication of the BPS-Statistics Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province which presents an Executive Summary of a collection of leadership presentations in accordance with current issues in 2022 conditions. This publication discusses 5 (five) main themes, namely Economic growth, Poverty, Income Inequality, Human Development Index, and Human Development Index.The theme of economic growth became the main discussion because the DIY economy contracted during the pandemic. As an educational city, it is also interesting to observe the achievements of human development and gender inequality in DIY. This is supported by the title as a student city which certainly has a significant connection with the condition of human development in DIY.
