Abstract

The Analysis of the Latest Issues of the Special Region of Yogyakarta 2019 is a publication of the Central Statistics Agency of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) which presents an overview of some phenomena that occur during 2018-2019 or conditions that may develop in the coming year. This publication discusses four themes. The first theme is about the Development of Macroeconomic Indicators, as an overview of macroeconomic development in DIY until 2019. The indicators discussed also cover the development of consumer prices as a reflection of the price stability of people's basic needs, unemployment, and poverty that characterize socioeconomic development achievements.The second theme about the investment picture presented in the discussion with the title Analysis of Incremental Capital Output Ratio (ICOR). This theme discusses investment development, investment structure according to business field, and ICOR figures. This chapter also discusses future investment needs and choices as material that can be considered for the formulation of future development policies. The third theme about income gaps is illustrated through indicators of income disparities between residents and income disparities between regions to see the extent to which the distribution of development can be felt by all residents and regions in DIY. The fourth theme of human development that discusses human resource development achievements in the form of a composite indicator of the Human Development Index (HDI). Themes discussed in addition to the development of HDI were also seen by the development of its constituent indicators, namely life expectancy, long school expectations, average length of schooling, and per capita expenditure.
